Veeva Content & Services Partner Day 2026: Key Takeaways from Barcelona

By Andy Speirs, Senior Developer, UK

This year, I attended the Veeva Content & Services Partner Day 2026 in Barcelona, which brought together partners from across the globe as part of Veeva’s wider international event series. The event offered an opportunity to strengthen POP’s partnership with Veeva, a provider of software, AI, data, and consulting for the global life sciences industry. It allowed us to showcase where we’re adding value, and stay closely aligned to the innovation and industry trends shaping the future of content and customer engagement.

More importantly, it reinforced our positioning as a strategic partner within this space, not just a delivery arm, but a collaborator helping to shape how content is created, scaled and experienced.

What stood out this year

The scale and energy of the partner ecosystem were clear – from the calibre of conversations to the breadth of perspectives across sessions. There was a strong balance between product innovation and real-world application, with discussions grounded in how platforms and partnerships are actually being used to solve challenges today, not just future potential.

This edition also reinforced how quickly the content and engagement space is evolving, particularly within regulated industries. The focus wasn’t just on creating more content, but on creating better, more meaningful outcomes that deliver real value.

Product innovation and roadmap direction

A clear takeaway was the continued evolution of Veeva’s platform ecosystem towards enabling more seamless content delivery and better integration across workflows. Conversations were less about singular breakthrough features, and more about the incremental strengthening of the platform – creating a more connected, scalable foundation for content production and distribution.

From my perspective, this signals a shift towards:

  • More structured, platform-led workflows
  • Greater consistency in how content is prepared, reviewed and deployed
  • Increased emphasis on scalability and reuse
  • Content transformation and engagement

There was also a strong emphasis on value-driven, experience-led content – moving beyond static assets towards more purposeful, audience-centric engagement. Our conversations consistently pointed back to a simple principle: content needs to work harder. It needs to be relevant, contextual and designed around real user needs – an approach very aligned with POP’s audience-first production model.

Industry trends shaping pharma and communications

Across sessions, a few trends came through clearly, framed not as theoretical challenges, but as shared problems the ecosystem is actively working to solve.

  • Increasing demand for digital-first engagement models
  • The need to operate at global scale with local relevance
  • A continued push towards efficiency without compromising quality

Perhaps the most important theme was the role of collaboration across the ecosystem. There’s a growing recognition that no single organisation delivers this in isolation. Platforms, agencies and clients all have a role to play – and the value comes from how effectively those pieces connect.

The takeaway

It was interesting to see that many of the challenges and opportunities discussed are ones we’re already actively working through with our clients. Also, the pace of change was a highlight: while there weren’t necessarily headline-grabbing shifts, the cumulative impact of incremental improvements across tools, workflows and approaches is significant.

And finally, there is clear space for partners who can bridge the gap between platform capability and real-world execution. For POP, this is a crucial point as we continue to integrate with platforms like Veeva, doubling down on content quality and scalability, and helping clients navigate complexity with practical, effective solutions.

Veeva Partner Day 2026 reinforced the importance of connecting technology, human talent and the ecosystem. The ultimate goal of days like this is always the same: take these learnings forward and apply them in ways that create real value, both for our clients and for the teams delivering the work every day.
